Hogan Assessments

Hogan Assessments, established in 1987, are the first personality assessments designed specifically for the workforce. They uniquely predict job performance and outcomes by focusing on the differentiation between an individual's perceived identity and their actual reputation in professional environments.

I am certified in the interpretation of Hogan's three core personality assessments: Hogan Personality Inventory (HPI) Hogan Development Survey (HDS), and Motives, Values, Preferences Inventory (MVPI).

Whether as part of a coaching engagement or independently, the assessments provide opportunities for self-awareness and actionable steps based on your unique profile.

Identity: Our Self-Perception

Identity is how we see ourselves. It's our internal narrative, the story we tell ourselves about ourselves. But it's not always accurate. We’ve all been guilty of overestimating our abilities or being too critical of ourselves, in ways that may not align with reality.

Reputation: How We Are Perceived by Others

Reputation reflects how others perceive us based on our observable actions and behaviors. In the professional world, our reputation, or how we are seen by colleagues and leaders, can play a crucial role in our success.

Enhancing Self-Awareness

Hogan Assessments are designed to provide practical benefits by enhancing strategic self-awareness. They identify key work style traits, core values, and potential derailment risks that could impact workplace behavior. This valuable insight empowers us to make adjustments and achieve more favorable outcomes.

Getting Started with Hogan Assessments

You will complete three different assessments: the Hogan Personality Inventory (HPI), the Hogan Development Survey (HDS), and the Motives, Values, Preferences Inventory (MVPI).

Each assessment involves responding to simple statements with True/False or Agree/Disagree. It typically takes 15-20 minutes. You can pause at any time, and your responses are saved for later completion.

After you complete the assessments, we'll schedule a one-on-one debrief session via Zoom. This is an essential part of the process, designed to maximize the value you receive from the Hogan Assessments, whether you're seeking to enhance your career, leadership skills, or personal growth.
